GOOSE BUMPS (Series 5, Episode 10)
The village committee remind Gimbert that he took over certain commitments when he bought Felsham Hall. He sees that playing Lord of the Manor could be to his advantage and asks Charlotte to play hostess at the annual dog show and Wild Life Auction at Felsham Hall. Lovejoy organises a private auction between two collectors of china geese... Charlotte invites him to dinner... and bed!

SWINGS AND ROUNDABOUTS (Series 5, Episode 11)
The fair comes to town and Lovejoy calls on his old friend Boswell who wants Lovejoy to help him dispose of his "pension fund" - a valuable collection of brass candlesticks. A history of burglaries is linked with visits of Boswell's fair and he is arrested when stolen candlesticks are found amongst his own. Gimbert buys a picture from Lovejoy because he is convinced it must be valuable and pays over the odds for it. Gimbert, discovering the painting is worthless, sells it back to Lovejoy who then tells him the frame is worth $20,000!

NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER (Series 5, Episode 12)
Lovejoy is invited by two elderly sisters, the Doncasters, to value their belongings. Their brother Raymond, a professor of Ecclesiastical history at Cambridge, refuses to sell the only valuable object they appear to own - a rare edition of the Bible. Lovejoy asks Charlotte to accompany him to Cambridge in order to persuade Raymond to sell the Bible. It is kept in a Cambridge Library, but when Lovejoy asks to see it the Bible is missing.
